After graduating from the University of Calgary in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Christopher Scissons attended Vancouver Film School, where he completed the Film Foundation Program in 2002. He worked intensively in the Vancouver independent film and music video community prior to the making of his first short documentary film "Road to Seoul (2008)". He developed a growing interest for the culture while teaching English there between 1999 and 2001. During his time developing his production skills in Vancouver. Christopher appeared as the Shadowy Villain in the award winning short film by Jon Knautz, Apartment 310 (2002). Continuing in 2002, Christopher accumulated valuable crew experience on several productions in Vancouver. He worked as a lamp operator on the Canadian Independent Film The Wild Guys (2004), performed crew work in various capacities for Triton Films music video projects involving artists such as Bif Naked, John Mann, and Jade, and was an Operations Assistant for Clairmont Camera. Christopher has recently completed a second short film production, Places of Perception (2019) and a third short film for release, The Internal World of Phenomena (2021). In addition to working on film projects, he has completed a Masters in Social Work from the University of Calgary and currently works as a Clinical Social Worker in the Calgary community.

Heather Kim, South Korean native, has been working in the oil and gas industry in Calgary, Alberta. She holds professional accounting and auditing designations as well as a Masters in Business Administration. Alongside her interest in Korean cinema and passion for documentary film-making, Heather became interested in the production of Canadian Independent Film projects which led to her collaboration with Christopher Scissons. Being naturally inclined towards involvement in a documentary about South Korea, Heather traveled back to South Korea with Christopher for the filming of "Road to Seoul". Heather continues to travel extensively across various places while obtaining landscape & cityscape footage for documentary projects.
